Foundation

KAISER+KRAFT was founded in 1945 by Helmut Kraft and Walter Kaiser in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim. Helmut Kraft began to implement the mail order concept in 1949. The idea was use catalogs and brochures to offer technical products to manufacturing customers and to sell these products by mail order.

Once mail order was established as a widely accepted method of purchasing at the beginning of the 1950s, KAISER+KRAFT was able to swiftly expand its range according to market requirements. To be able to better fulfill customers’ special demands, the company began manufacturing transport equipment itself in 1957.
