We view sustainability as the long-term balance between economic, environmental and social concerns. We have identified  six focus areas in the development of TAKKT’s sustainability strategy: sourcing, marketing, logistics, resources & climate, employees and society. They are derived from the expectations and requirements of our stakeholders, our long-term strategic goals and the ongoing evaluation of all business processes.

With “Sustainable Corporate Responsibility” or SCORE for short, we have established a Group-wide organizational structure to integrate sustainability throughout the entire company. This allows us to implement and manage measures across all levels and divisions in the day-to-day business.

In 2016, TAKKT developed the sustainability strategy for the coming years as part of a comprehensive stakeholder dialogue. The focus areas of sourcing, marketing, logistics, resources and climate, employees and society defined by the end of 2016 were again confirmed in the dialogue with our emloyees, customers, suppliers, banks and shareholders. The main sustainibility issues in the focus areas were identified, weighted and the corresponding measures for implementing and achieving the targets developed in a direct dialogue with the stakeholders. The planned steps focus on the areas of resource efficiency, customer satisfaction, climate protection and the relationships with our suppliers.

Sustainability Objectives

Our goal is to grow profitably, diversify risks and act in a sustainable manner. The success of our business model relies on longstanding customer relationships. Within the scope of our integrated multi-channel approach through print, online, field and tele sales activities, we continuously improve our customer approach. With targeted acquisitions of additional direct marketing platforms, we extend our portfolio and tap into new customer groups.


Through the systematic expansion of the e-commerce business, we increase marketing efficiency and protect resources at the same time. We have added a sustainability certification and code of conduct to our supplier evaluation program. These measures will improve the quality and security in sourcing.

With programs for training and continuing professional development and by expanding the promotion of the social involvement of our employees, we want to further foster motivation. All of this contributes to improving our sustainable actions every day. We have set binding goals for ourselves for 2020 in order to ensure our progress in all six focus areas.
