TAKKT subsidiary KAISER + KRAFT EUROPA launches next generation e-commerce
Due to InterWorld's new e-commerce solution, TAKKT AG can network more closely with its customers. Interfaces in procurement and the merchandise control system expand functionality and simplify transactions. By integrating the merchandise control systems of its customers, the company becomes an "internal" supplier and service provider. The scope of features ranges from product availability to the provision of individual customer information. "The collaboration between TAKKT AG and InterWorld generates integrated IT solutions with interfaces to all relevant systems. For our customers, it offers a real e-commerce platform for a successful start into the economy of the 21st century," said Kathrin Winterfeld, manager of new media at the TAKKT subsidiary KAISER + KRAFT EUROPA. The launch of the next generation business- to- business solution is scheduled for early summer of 2000. "We will begin in the German market. The international roll- out will follow in stages," Kathrin Winterfeld described the schedule.
For TAKKT AG, it is a specific corporate goal to always be faster than the competition. By choosing InterWorld, the Group selected an experienced global player as their partner in developing a future- oriented e-commerce platform. "Due to the rapid market development, we continuously need to develop new features," Kathrin Winterfeld said about the background of this new collaboration. "With InterWorld as a competent business partner, we will always succeed in remaining up to date in the interest of our customers."
InterWorld, which is already collaborating with corporations such as Mattel, Nike or Walt Disney, is also very pleased about the new partnership. "We are proud to have won TAKKT AG as our client, which is one of the most competent and long- standing mail order companies in Europe," said Michael Wallraven, InterWorld regional sales manager Central Europe. "TAKKT's e-commerce plans represent an excellent basis for a successful, long- term partnership."
