Phase-out of Topdeq and sale of the PEG

In October 2013, TAKKT‘s management board decided to phase-out the operating business of the Topdeq companies step by step due to their ongoing loss-making situation. After being repositioned twice, Topdeq did continue to miss TAKKT’s growth and profitability requirements. After having evaluated all options, the decision to close down turned out to be the most justifiable solution. Discontinuation of Topdeq’s activities was concluded until September 01, 2014. In January 2015, TAKKT sold the US-American division Plant Equipment Group (PEG) to its competitor Global Industrial. With the new owner, PEG was expected to have better opportunities to grow than it would have been the case under the TAKKT umbrella.
